Syam Ben Youssef ( Tunisian Arabic : صيام بن يوسف ; born March 31, 1989 in Marseille ) is a Tunisian footballer who plays as a center back for Turkish club Kasımpaşa in Süper Lig
Club Career
Passed by the Sports Union traminots Marseille and the training center SC Bastia [1] . Ben Youssef joined ES Tunis on a two-year contract on 12 August 2009 [2] , he made his professional debut in the Tunisian championship on September 12, 2009, against CS Sfaxien (4-0) at Stade 7 November , and scored his first goal. On December 14, he received his first meeting with the national team.
After playing few months in England in Leyton Orient [3] , he signed to FC Astra Giurgiu in Romania , where he remained 3 seasons, won 2013-14 Cupa României and discovered European competitions [4] .
On June 29, 2015, free of any contract with the Romanian club, he committed to 3 seasons to SM Caen , he played his first match in Ligue 1 on August 22 against OGC Nice . He scored his first goal in the fifth day against Troyes AC .
On 5 July 2017, he agreed with the SM to the Turkish club Kasımpaşa SK for 3 seasons.
International Career
With the National team he started in 2010, collecting 30 appearances. He played his first African Cup in 2015 , he also participated in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations .
On 17 November 2015, he scored his first goal with the Tunisian team in the second round of the 2018 World Cup qualification against Mauritania .
